Card and a tutorial!! :)

Hello everyone out there in bloggerland! Today I'm sharing a card I made, and a tutorial to go along with it! I'm excited because this is my first tutorial, I hope it goes well! *Crosses fingers* :)

This is the card I created for you today, again, my camera did not do this card justice. I'm open to suggestions on a new camera? I looked into a Nikon D40 once upon a time.. Anyway, the last picture here is the inside of the card. :)
Card measures about 3.5 x 7.25
Materials I used: Certainly Celery Stampin' Up cardstock, georgia pacific cardstock, papertrey ink flower die, Stamping solutions cricut cartridge, and some Martha Stewart glitter fibers. I also used the Stampin' Up scallop trim punch on this card.... Can you spot it? I created the colorful line border with the punch, and I'm going to show you how to do it too.


So for those of you who don't know what this scallop trim punch looks like, here it is.

First thing you are going to do is choose four colors and use the border punch to punch along side of each color. I'm going to start with two colors to make it easier.
Once you've punch all your colors, cut off the top of the border off the page leaving the scallops intact.

This is what your going to be left with.Next (and here comes the more tricky part), begin weaving two strips of paper together, sort of like you were making a braid, over-under, over-under. The paper is going to want to curl up on you, but once it gets weaved it will stay locked into place.

Then you can add the other two colors, one at a time using the same method. Once you have four colors together, you'll end up with a funky and colorful line border to use on cards and layouts like the one I used here! :) Isn't it cute!
