Edited to add: This is a paragraph I put on my blog as a way to share my discussion for the paperclipping roundtable. I'm going to link the website, great podcasts and more. It's fantastic! :)
I'd like to comment on the process of scrapbooking and the guilt of scrapbooking. I thought it was really interesting that everyone gave their feedback on the process of scrapbooking. I'm not new to scrapbooking, but I'm not old either, and I've honestly never took a moment to think about the process and how everyone's process is different. I think my process is just kind of scattered, a few pictures here, and a bit of glitter there and ta-da. I don't have a real formula other than to start with the picture(s). I try not to guilt myself in my process at all, although I think something that may not have been thought about is the guilt from other people. I'm in the process of doing scrapbooks for others (family members), and the amount of guilt is frustrating. I feel like I can't do something of "my own" until I do a layout for a family member who does not take the time to scrapbook at all. Incredibly frustrating, but at the end of the day I do what I makes me happy. I can't let others guilt me into making this craft I love something I hate.
And that, is my two cents. :)
Love the paperclipping roundtable! So fun.

Happy Easter!
I realize it's been some time since my last post. Unfortunately things come up unexpectedly. Hopefully I'll have quite a few posts in the next couple days to make up for it. :) Here is a card I made for Easter last weekend.

The card is 5.5 inches x 5 inches. I used Gypsy Font for the Happy Easter, Straight from the Nest for the grass, and Designer's Calender for the Easter eggs. The patterned paper is from Stampin' Up, and stickles finish off the eggs. Hope you enjoy!

Butterfly Dreams: Papertrey Ink
Here is a card I made using the new February release "Butterfly Dreams". I have to say, this is my first stamp set from Papertrey Ink, but it will most definitely not be my last. I LOVE these stamps. I love everything about this company actually, the ink, the paper, the stamps. Love it all. I used Spring Rain cardstock and ink. I also used the new coordinating die by Papertrey Ink to match this Butterfly Dreams set and cut out some of the new Papertrey Ink felt using the die. Then I cut out some vellum, scored it, and glued it on top.
Here are a couple pictures of the die.

And the True Black felt. 100% wool. :)

And here is the finished product! I really like it. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

PTI Challenge 02/13/10
Another PTI challenge today! I did another simple card, that I think is quite darling if I do say so myself. :) The challenge: Design a floral embellishment, then create a card using one and and an acetate sheet of them to share. Well, I didn't have a 4x6 acetate sheet, but I had a bunch of smaller acetate sheets, so I improvised. Always good to improvise in this hobby right?

Again, I'm not a good photographer or I just have a non-high quality camera. But the card says Happy Day! on it. I like this saying because it can be for a birthday, another happy kind of day, or just because. :)
Thanks for stopping in!!

PTI Challenge!
PTI (Papertrey Ink) is having an origami challenge! They have been counting down to their new releases on the 15th of the month, and it's been a blast to follow! Exciting new things to come from them!
The challenge was to make something using origami, and I choose to make a tulip card. I'm not very good at origami, as I found out, but I think it turned out ok anyway! :) I got the directions from this cool site: http://www.origami-club.com/en/kids/tulip/index.htm

I made this card to give away to a friend, saying it's been too long since we've got together! :) I got to use my new Stampin' Up punch too!
Thanks for dropping by! I have a few days off so hopefully more to come!
